Default Repainting/Rebuilding the calipers

I spent the day on Saturday slowly pulling the calipers/rotors off of the 996TT so that I can ship them off to be rebuilt/painted before the race season starts. The calipers have never been off the car & after 24,XXX on the car, they were starting to show their age. I am leaning towards painting them a PCCB yellow color, but am open to ideas.

Anyone want to share their custom colors that they have gone with.

Wow. Wish my calipers looked that good. My fronts have turned pinkish and dull.

I have not found a good refinishing resource. There were some vague references to 'a guy in FL' in another thread. I would consider tackling this myself.

Yellow looks good, but do you really want to imply you have PCCBs when you don't?

I know in the past some have used wheel dynamics in CA with good results and reasonable cost.

Here is a link to that refinisher... http://www.6speedonline.com/forums/9...-refinish.html

I haven't used him but from the pics I've seen looks like he knows what he's doing.

I did mine myself (clear was peeling), but if I had to do it again I'd pay someone. Had to clean them really good then lightly sand, paint with ceramic caliper paint, apply decals and apply a clear coat. They came out great though but took quite a bit of time and effort.

I've sent them out to Hayworth Racing Brakes to have them do a rebuild on the seals, strip, & paint them. The price I was quoted seem reasonable & any color under the sun is an option. I'm leaning to the Porsche yellow.

I'd keep them OE looking or go with black.
