Another Article --- 996 Turbo , six figures on horizon?
#18
The Gembella GTR 600 "kit" moves the 996 Turbo's intercoolers from the bumper to the top of the engine under the deck lid.
I couldn't find a pic of a 996, but the 997 setup is near identical.

Here's hoping the 996tt starts pushing 6 figures, though I think it will be a slow ascension... Said article states that new turbos are going for $150k, which I think is a bit low. New 991tts I believe are almost hitting $200k!

Here is an article that came out today. Predicting 5 cars that may see 6 digits in '17.

Highest price I have seen at auction for a pristine 996T was in May 2016 at Silverstone (Europe) was $97,000 USD (it was a Cab btw). This weekend at Mecum should be interesting

Imagine that.

Figures Since the original place I found the article (nesn) did not show the author's name, I hadn't really given it much thought. Just thought it was a fun little article anyway. Looks like it was written by someone named Andy Reid. Assuming it's the same person, he seems to spend a lot of time around car auction/market and writing related articles. Again, if the same person... he apparently is the ClassicCars.com East Coast editor.

Good point! The pricing is all over the place still with the high end almost $100k in europe, $78k in us, and the low end in the low 30's. Seems like the days of clean/well documented/stock(or at least easily reversible to stock)/clean title cars in the low 30's are behind us though for the most part. It's a moot point for me since I love mine too much to sell anyway Fun to see how the market seems to be headed and that these cars are finally getting a little respect!
