Chonky - you are right, I am not talking about 6,000 mile 997tts. The ones I see are in 30-60k range, as you say. Personally, I drive everything I buy so paying a big premium for a sub 10k miles car doesn't make sense for me. I put about 10k on my C4 in the last year and that is with little winter driving (CT).

GDI I commend you for you work and yes these prices mean something but little of something as you have too small of a number of cars to get a real handle. Its used to get the buyer to sell at what you hope to pay and anyone that believes this helps either buyer/seller is kidding themselves as the data is to small and far from accurate/documented= when I see the cars bought in person with receipt paid then I will pay attention. One car with 19k sold at 42k is not an average or even a blip and you should be ashamed of yourself for bringing it up.

I drive them too, but I pounded a 2001 Turbo as my daily in Atlanta and while it was fun, it was also expensive and beat me up. The roads here are so bad that I finally got a 2015 SRT Grand Cherokee and now my other cars get 1k miles a year or so, mostly in the mountains where you can get the most out of them, so I now focus on buying low mileage cars as its worth it for me, if I was putting 10k miles a year on one I'd buy another 2001 with 50k miles and not look back, and sometimes I think about doing just that, as the jeep is such a pig and as they say, there is no substitute, although I think I'd have to go with a 7.2 TTS as they are a bit mellower for a daily.

a white sunroof delete 997.1 will be worth a lot more than many other combos if you could even find one. but i also think that folks will eventually begin to see the wisdom of purchasing turbo's that possess the mezger gt1 derived motor.

but for a 996t priced VERY reasonably someone is going to be VERY happy with 911al's current offering. i think its priced perfectly. to sell.

My info is based on 60 actual reported sales in the last year and there are many thousands of these cars that have been bought and sold, so it is a small sample in the grand scheme of things. And it relies on self reported figures, from rennlist members, so is it possible that there are inaccuracies? Sure, but it is far more valuable than other data I have seen presented.

Most other estimates are opinions from owners or sellers who have an interest in seeing prices go up. And, if you would read more carefully, I have caveated the posting of that one car as a single data point - it is just more info for the interested to consider. It is unfortunate that it irritates you, but it is no more shameful to post than to post regarding a single $70k sale, both are of interest to some. This is all about enjoying a hobby, try not to or take or make things personal.

And I'll say again - it looks like the OP has priced his car right (as have you, BTW) and it will sell when the right person comes along.

My commute is pretty easy on the car- but for bad weather I drive my F150 twin turbo. If I were putting 1000 a year on a car, I'd go sub 10k too - makes perfect sense!

GDI you seem like a very nice and intelligent person but as anyone knows a survey with out hard proof means little and one bad carfax or really high option list could make a car mentioned a rip off or a bargain. I have no horse in the game as my car is tentavily sold again lol. I offer a fair deal but let me tell you even after you give people a bargain and agree upon a price with set perimeters they still come and try to backdoor you with pay for this pay for that bs but luckily I am not in the need to sell position.

never heard of "it". any more info?? it is not entirely dissimilar from our mezger motor. others could pinpoint the exact changes, dual intake air box/mafs etc.

i can't off the top of my head.

There is a lot of back and forth on tip/6 speed; when looking for a TT, (looked at many) seemed to find that the tip cars were owned by older family types, that took great care and drove them for pleasure. The wife got to drive it once, so the OM could keep it. These cars had low miles and garage kept; never tracked. Porsche knew this as many TT cab tips were produced in 05. Most were "S" class and were priced 60k+.

If this was true across the board, then 964T prices could never exceed 993TT prices, and 993TT prices could never exceed 996TT prices. We all know these are not the case. Or do you think that the 996TT and 997TT are too similar?

I actually have a set of sport seats being refinished in Natural Brown which I will paint the backs body color if I decide to keep and improve further. The price would go up a tad though.
