I'd leave the stock wheels. These look great on our cars. The wheel color has been changed or you have '05 S wheels that looks great with your paint color.

Dock, I don't consider a color change on the stock wheels that the car came with a mod, in the sense I thought it was meant. I also did not know you could not order the car this way back then. To me they are stock wheel, and a great color for the car.

Is there any way I can tell if they are from 05?

LMFAO! Those were shot i my parents driveway. The car would be in their garage if I am over there, so no worries. I just liked to car on the stone driveway.

Dave...ok now. Play nice!

I have done a few updates to my car. The biggest is the new wheels. Finally got them painted and new tires mounted up. 235/40-19 front, and 305/30-19 N0 rears. Bridgestone RE050's. This car is a street car, and those tires were originally developed for the Ferrari F50, so they should be good enough for me.

I also have a Pioneer heading unit, and am prepped to add an iPad Mini very soon.

Dave, are we twins still?

Congrats, the color combo will get you in touch with the car like nothing else!
Get a tune from Kevin if you want it to feel like it should have from the factory. Great 1st mod for performance

Default I have been away for a while, but busy....

Well it has been a while since I have been on here. I have been busy working and enjoying a few new toys.

First is this '89 Carrera 3.2 Anniversary Edition, she is 1 of 240 built. She is a drive, and the interior is original, and not in bad shape. I also had to rebuild the engine (broken headstud).

Then there is this little project. She named bob several friends affectionately "The Beast." She started out life as a '75 911S, at some point someone put a steel wide body on it, with slant nose rear fender vents. Later someone else slid a 3.6 out of a '94 C2 in the back.....and could not get it running. They sold it to someone else, who could not get it running. Well I bought it and did. New brakes, new suspension (coil-overs)......lots of work, and she drives great and runs pretty good, This is a work in progress for sure.

Yes that shifter is 4" farther back, and 4" higher than stock, thanks to a tunnel riser. Love it!

Now for the Turbo. Since you last saw that car above....it now has an iPad mounted in the dash (did it myself), the front axles have been rebuilt, it has a new rear wing, & Dave's EXCELLENT 4" E-Ram's. The wheels are real Gemballa wheels that came on "The Beast", they are 18x8.5 and 18x11 and are wearing GT2 size Pirelli Rosso tires. Last week she got H&R Street coil overs and is sitting a few mm under GT2 height. The ride is great, I am just waiting to see if thing settle and/or is scrapes a lot. Once I get those straight I will do a proper alignment. To give you some idea the front fender was 27 7/8" off the ground, and is now 25". The old suspension was weird, the car looked higher than any 996 I have seen, which the rear was sagged. Lots and drives wonderfully now!

Before/After

She looks like a super car now

iPad in the dash....great Nav (Waze)...and Chris Harris reviewing a 991 Turbo!
