Got some time in the garage today to work on my paddle shift mod...
I'll start a new thread with more details on the conversion, but here's a few quick pictures. Only half done, but so far it's been easier than I expected and looks like it is going to work out fantastic.
I purchased a second, used Sport steering wheel to work on so the Cayman wouldn't be down during the surgery, plus I always like to have the parts to return to 100% stock.Total cost so far: $116 for the Mercedes AMG paddle set + $160 for a spare Sport steering wheel (not really necessary).
After finishing up the second side I'll move the control modules over to the modified wheel and take care of the wiring, then mount the wheel and airbag.
