I am really curious the inside cabin db level with the 2.5 quiet and 100 cats.
I tested my stock exhaust with Db Volume on my iPhone. Even though it's not 100% reliable, it says 84db at 120kmh in 6th gear.
I can't believe the speedtech quiet would be much louder than that. Anyone with one willing to test it?

We have seen a little over 40AWHP and about the same increase in torque on a car with first level upgraded turbos and a tune... about 25HP on a stock car with no upgrades. The other, often overlooked benefits are much improved throttle response and quicker turbo spool, as well.

Yes, you can use the OEM tips with either system, it requires another piece that is substituted for our tips.

We have a very slightly used X-cellerator 2.5 quiet system available. One of our customers just sold his car without the SpeedTech exhaust, so we have a good deal on this system. Very slightly used, perfect condition, subject to prior sale - first come, first served....
PM for details.

how does this compare to a 70mm speed tech with 200 cell cats and some quiet option? That's what I have now and need something quieter.

Hi Alex,
Our 2.5 X-cellerator "quiet" replaces the discontinued 70mm twin can design and is literally better in every way and a huge step up in terms of sound quality and performance. The older 70mm twin can is 2 3/4" diameter, thus louder in general and older technology that was great in it's prime, but clearly out dated now and inferior to our current offerings. With our 2.5, we have reduced drone to a virtually non existent level, improved the overall sound characteristics to a much more exotic, tuned type sound and the 2.5 quiet is actually quite quiet for a performance exhaust (yet still slightly louder than stock). The 100 cell cats allow quicker turbo spool, much crisper and noticeably improved throttle response and finally, the turbo "whistle" sound comes right out. Add to that the "modular" nature of the design, meaning any system has a variety of plug and play tip options, cat/cat bypass options and pipe diameter/sound level options and there is really no comparison between these two models. Going back to your original question - in short, yes, it is a lot quieter AND exhibits a much higher quality sound, as well. It's a significant improvement and step up.

Thanks for the info? Can I use my 200 cell cats that I have now or do I have to replace everything?
Is it close to stock at start up and idle? I'm looking for something like that but then sounds better under load.

First question: No, on the 70mm, the cats and muffler are one piece and not modular.
It is definitely louder than stock at start-up and idle, but it is not very loud at all, IMO. By nature a free flowing exhaust with hi-flow cats can not be as quiet as a stock exhaust at idle, however, yes I would say our 2.5 is close in nature to the OEM system. With our recommended sound engineered tips, it's the quietest and most comfortable 996TT exhaust that I have ever heard...

Hi Berra, it's almost time to get your car out again.
Yea, that's the 3" competition X-Pipe! Fantastic sound for those that enjoy Italian exotic type sound qualities. Steep contrast to the 2.5 quiet X-Flow muffler system. One extreme to the other...
