gauges froze, then car wouldn't start
Had a weird problem the other day...
While driving on track the other day my gauges froze and all the idiot lights started blinking. I came into the paddock and shut the car off. Gauges still stuck. I hit the electrical kill switch and turned it back on -- the gauges then returned to the zero position. However, the car wouldn't start after that. Turning the key didn't power on anything. Headlights worked, windows didn't work, brake lights didn't work.
I checked all the fuses on the driver's side, but everything looked fine. Had the car towed to the shop.
Ended up being an 80 amp fuse located behind the heater core on the passenger side. I had no idea there were other fuses there. Something else to bring to track just in case.
