Prices for our 6-3's are def on the rise. I think the NA market is seeing the light, like the Euro market has, and cars are moving fast, while prices climb. Get em while you can

We keep toying with the idea of selling ours. 78k miles, almost all highway, around town, country roads, etc. We've never put it on the track, but I think the previous owner did before we bought it (only had 16k miles at the time).
We want a 7.2, but just can't afford it...though that would make a better 'daily driver' than the 6. unfortunately we probably would never be able to get in and out of our driveway. As it is, the Cup splitter scrapes every time we leave...

But...my wife calls this car 'Smiley' because every time she walks up to it in the parking garage after a bad day at work, she smiles.... So for now, Smiley stays...

Default Future Values / Future Choice

It seems quite simple, where does one go from a 6GT3?
How much does that "trip" cost? Tens and tens of thousands of dollars.
What would be the benefit? A second or two quicker lap times. Maybe.
Who other than you would care? No one, in fact, neither would I.

I'd love an old, light 911.
Street / track prepared and a hoot to drive. I can give pass signals and still smile.

But I don't want to invest the time and effort to maintain that old wonderful 911.

For now, it remains a simple choice, keep the bullet proof 6GT3, and drive (fast) the wheels off of it.
Your 6GT3 will certainly appreciate a lot in value. Stay tough.

Seems like a winning choice, for me and, most other 6GT3 owners as well.

values still rising in Europe, my 2001 GT3 MK1, 37000 km mint condition was valued yesterday by Porsche insurance expert at 110000 euro !!

Still not a doubt in my mind to sell it.... Nothing beats the RAW sound of a GT3..

This cracks me up (I love it)
"All the stuff the 997 GT3 car has, which would allow Mr. Magoo to keep it on the road, is missing."

WOW! I've been thinking about selling mine as I stopped tracking it a long time ago and hardly drive it any longer (I've put 800 miles per year in the last 2-3 years), but these types of threads always stop me.

I plan on driving my 6 GT3 till they wrench out of my hands...
Fully anticipating then that it's value will have followed the way of the
'73 RS. Unless the generations behind us lose interest. Which is an unfortunate possibility. It's all about supply and demand...

Wow, that's double the cost here of NA Gen II cars. MKI cars seem to be taking on mythical status at the moment in Europe. I wonder if the Gen II cars are feeling some of that same love there?
