Default New guy - 2003 996 Carrera

Hi guys, my first real post here!

I've been active on the Pelican forum for 17 years and used to have an '82 911SC. I sold that in 2013 and bought and built a track-only 2005 supercharged Lotus Elise which I recently had enough of the track/trailer lifestyle and sold.

I just purchased a 2003 911 Carrera from my Dad (don't worry I'm not a teenager, I'm 42 years old). The car is very nice w/ 20K original miles. I have some questions I'll post in another thread, here are a couple pics of the car.

Thanks, the car is largely as it left the factory.

It has kind of neat options combo (below from the original window sticker):

Metallic paint
Sport seats graphite grey full leather
18" Carrera alloy wheels with colored Porsche crest centers
Xenon headlight package
Special chassis rigidly tuned
Heated front seats
PSM
Bose stereo
PSE (Porsche Sports Exhaust)
Center console and seat backs painted to match exterior color
Instrument dials painted to match exterior color
Porsche crest in headrests
Flared rocker panels
Deviating carpet color and floor mats in Metropol blue

Grey leather interior does not get enough love. Pics of the inside?

Here ya go...I'm talking to the BumperPlugs guy right now about painting all the softtouch plastic pieces on the dash to match the center console.

Love the red calipers! Did your Dad paint them or were they on the car? Gotta do mine. Nice car. I like my grey interior.

Great-looking car, congrats! Only 22K miles? I always wonder why people buy these cars and then don't drive 'em. Excellent that the previous owner preserved the car for you!

Car Guy law says "If/when you purchase a very fine used car from a parent or older brother, you MUST continue to provide said vehicle with obsessive/compulsive maintenance." Really.

That won't be a problem, I am way more OCD about my cars than my Dad is. I've already had this one up on jackstands and have a laundry list of little bits to address.
