Yeh the studs are in the same position they area slightly different shape. Only difference seems to be the strut will sit a tiny bit more upright just been on 80 mile drive at so much
Quieter the metal on metal was making everything rattle in the car

Any update on how the 997 mounts have been. I am looking to get 997mounts for my turbo
I can get two 997 mounts for less then the price of one 996 mount. My concern with using the 997 if the angle is different. Can that put stress on the strut and cause premature failer.
Any one else using the 997awd mounts on a 996awd. ?

The angle is still achievable on camber the caster maybe a little different. Thing is mines been driving round on knackered top mounts for at least a year. I'm sure a couple of degrees on caster is nothing compared too shot bushes . Mine driving like a peach now

Swaped out my 996 strut mounts on my turbo for 997s this weekend.
They look exactly the same. Car drives great now. So glad I didn't wast the money on the 996 mounts. Thanks for the info.

Just to clarify, as some people stil dont seem to know. 996C4S mounts are on their own. They only fit a 996C4S. They are only available Genuine Porsche only, no OEM, no aftermarket despite what some posts say on some forums.

Not saying other mounts wont fit, just that C4 & C4S mounts are different as far as Porsche are concerned

The 997 mounts work perfect on my 996 C4 .. C2 are completely different . The only difference i could find was slight castor angle . Still got camber adjust I wanted drives like a dream now. Upto you if you Wana pay full whack go for it. I recon I saved 250 quid result the same .. Regards Rich

I suspect they will also fit a 996C4S, all Im saying is that the C4S has its own mounts and alot of people/venders list the 4WD version as fitting all C4 and turbos.
