I swapped the carpet out for black but left the red leather interior everywhere else.

Recovered the door bottoms and speaker box in leatherette

IMHO, it looked a ton times better.

First person that came to see it bought it full price.
Said the pix didn't do it justice

This is the exact reason I bumped this up. I'm curious if people have photos of it or personal examples?

Many years ago, I saw a silver boxster with red interior. The problem with that was it was RED all over... seats, dash, carpets... just too much red. If the interior was like how txhokie4life did to his car, that will be great! Plus, the Boxster's interior looked more "pinkish" and I personally did not like it. But I told the guy his car's interior looks nice!

I like this, but it's much less "red" than txhokie's car....

That looks really good. I prefer the 2 tone look.

My '99 996 Aerokit C4 is black w/ a Boxster red interior. I think it's an awesome color combination. If I remember correctly, according to the window sticker, the Boxster Red interior (2 tone red/black) was an extra $3,500. It also has heated sport seats and some carbon fiber which were also not cheap options. Total window sticker on the car was $99,500. Not cheap for a 1999 996!

I also have a 2000 Boxster silver w/ red interior.

The red interior is my favorite.

I like red very much . Having said that,,, wht/red or silver/red are MY best combos, just my 0.02 .

I had to settle for silver / black. Most 996 are either black or silver , with black int. it just looks that way. don't like gray int. and tan and silver i think clashes.

My favorite Porsche color combination I've ever owned is Black exterior with Can Can / Lobster red. Stunning and gorgeous.

My second Porsche 911 was a 1969 E with a one year only red interior option. I have never seen another 1969 with that interior and I wish did not sell that car in 1973 to get married. I still have the wife and 34 years later was looking for another Targa with a light exterior color and a interior that was not black or grey to show off the Targa black interior hardware. After a year of searching I found my Arctic Silver with Boxter full red leather interior in 2007. The car always draws favorable comments and I enjoy how rare it is to see the combination. I think those ordering a new 996 stayed away from anything related to Boxter in the build!

I have a friend who had a 2005 black ext, deep rep interior. it looked amazing.

Trust me, there is a market for 'different' and unique vs. the typical. Go for it!

Absolutely. Guys like me are that market. I'll take a "weird" color combo over normal any day. I wish my Palladio car had a red or blue interior.

This is the color combination that Porsche used for the original concept.

I had an Aventurine Green cab 1995 C2 with red interior. I LOVED that car. It was very easy to sell and sold quickly. Wish I would of kept it!
