Microswitch replacement difficulty?
Came back from the autocross yesterday and noticed some strange behavior on the driver's side window. The problem was that from inside the car the window would automatically lower as it should. But if I opened it from the outside it would go right back up as soon as i let go of the handle.
I tried to reset the window by both using the "hold the switch down" method and even disconnecting the battery. Neither one worked.
So I used the search function and found this thread:
https://rennlist.com/forums/996-foru...-switches.html
The suggestion there is to either replace the whole latch assembly or purchase one of the $5 microswitches. So my question is, has anyone else here replaced the microswitch by itself? If so how difficult is this re-assembly job?

A great thread on the subject over on RT.org

(seriously worth the read and no they are not hard to replace, just time consuming and a little fidgety with all the screws and trim and stuff)

I'm at the mechanic now getting my track inspection and asked him to look at it. So we'll see if it is just the microswitch as I think it is.
