Believe it or not, I found the answer on 6speedonline! Apparently it's the same front bumper for the Turbo, C4S and 40th AE.

It looks like the p/n is 9965055550201c

The cheapest I've found thus far is $115 delivered. (It looks like the c4s/40th is different than the turbo lip. The turbo lip costs basically 3x as much)

I wish I had thought of changing the lip to the turbo lip when I had my lip replaced.
Here's a Bayson R replica of the turbo lip that's pretty affordable.

Default Gear Box Oil?

What Transmission/Gear Box oil do we need and how much? I assume since it is LSD it may be something other than what every other manual C2 calls for. Anyone know what Porsche specs for the 40th AE??? thx

Default New 40AE Owner (#711)

Today I was fortunate to become the very proud owner of 40AE #711 (please add me to the registry). Originally I had my heart set on a 2002-04 4S but, after doing a lot of research (and reading may rennlist postings), I fell in love with the 40AE. The 4S is still a fantastic car, and I would have certainly enjoyed owning one. In the end the 40AE's unique attributes sold me. I had a terrific seller who made the purchase process successful. I can't thank him enough. I'm looking forward to many special memories with this fine car. I posted some pics of the delivery of the vehicle (went from FL to MO) in case anyone's interested.

So based on reading, the 40th is suppose to have the ROW M030 suspension. But based on further reading the US 40th does NOT have the ROW M030 suspension but rather the standard US suspension (but it does have the M030 sway bars!)

Am I confused? what's the real story?

Yea, reading that confused me too, LOL. But the answer is "yes" in a bonehead move we get ROW M030 sways but not ROW M030 springs

So can we fit ROW M030 springs to our shocks or is it more complex than that?

I thought we had the M030 spring rate but with longer springs or possibly just spacers added to compensate for US headlight height laws?

Springs do seem stiffer than my buddies regular Carrera but no spacer they are taller. Which is why after, much, much, much searching I finally picked up an x74 kit and soon will be 4x4 no more

Default clean your radiators!

Folks, today I removed my front bumper for a small project (pix to come for that later on). Since I had the bumper off, I decided to clean out the radiator areas per other threads I've seen on rennlist. I was thinking mine would be pretty clean....

Guess not! Take a look at the pix! Actually, the pictures don't do it justice. It doesn't capture how much crap is there. There is seriously a lot of old bugs, pebbles/rocks, leaves, branches, dirt, and crap in general!! There's a bunch in between and behind as well.

I used a shopvac on both suction and blowing. I hosed it down and used the shopvac as well. Yuck! There's like lint/animal here stuck in the radiators!

Looks just like mine when I pulled the bumper to change out one of the radiators. I removed the bolts that hold the condenser to the radiator and just let it hang. Then I clean everything out of the radiator & condenser with an air compressor and garden hose. Amazing how much crap get stuck in there.

Wow - how many miles created that rats nest? I only have 10k on my ride so not sure I need it... it looks clean from the front, but apparently that can be deceiving... is 10k too early or should I set this for a winter project? thx
