New Porsche 911 Turbo Book

I have a question that maybe one of you 911 history buffs can help me with. Many years ago, I encountered a VERY EARLY 911 (1964 or so) that had a dash layout that was entirely different from the one that became standard. Does anybody have any info on a car like that? Any photos of that dash?

Thanks Felix. Yes, that's the car I remember seeing. Kind of a beater, owned by a private party near Santa Paula, California. Sigh. Worth a small fortune today, I'll bet.

The three gauge picture looks exactly like the '65 painted dash 912 I restored a year ago .. redline is the same on the tach, so I'm thinking it's a 912.
However, I've never seen a dash like the two gauge red car has .. that's definitely prototype design and those unique combination gauges have integrated all the oil pressure/temp and fuel gauges into them.

Maybe it was changed many years later! I´ve seen this some times when early 911 were restored in the 80-ies!

I promised to start a new webshop in english language, but it is not online, yet! Shame on me !!! Just working on that! But you can still order the book with individual signature of the author by e-mail for 49,80€ incl. p+p: info@berlinmotorbooks.de . The famous Porsche Classic Magazine "S-AU 356" just reported on our Turbo Book :-)

I would like to add one thing:
we fired the company that sent the books overseas in the past!
We found a new company for shipping the books. They ship the stable packages by priority!
Sorry for problems in the past, I hope everybody who had problems in the past got his second book for free!
