not really. Relieve any pressure you can, remove accumulator. install new one.

Thanks for the replies. Is there any of this "lower engine or tranny" required? If not, it cannot be much worse than an oil change on a 993tt or a starter replacement on a Boxster. Thanks again, Mark

for the accumulator, you don't need to lower the engine/trans. but it's a little harder than an oid change. It's just in an awkward location and you need a wrench that fits (or an old filter wrench worked for me if I recall correctly). Fun..

Thanks for the reply. I'll take a crack at it after I get the beast to pass it's Illinois epa test. It doesn't see many miles and it's "not ready." Ordered a Durametric cable this week - too tired of going to a mechanic to check things out and soon I'll have 3 P-cars so it will pay for itself.
