From time to time I trawl these pages for good detail views of the engine and drive-train of our cars for help in future servicing.

I ran across the below outstanding image posted by BlackSnake99 that prompted me to start this thread.

Here is the driver side of a Varioram engine:



Nicely reveals the engine connections to the car behind the cabin heat blower that are hard to see clearly when the engine is in the car.

Porsche definitely does a better job with timing chains and tensioners than jaguar.

3 jags since 98' and all had chain/tensioner issues. Meanwhile, my 21 year old Porsche has the original set-up.
