Default Rennline Cell Phone Holder Install w/pics

I just picked this up for my Macan Turbo and the 993. These are very well built out of metal and aluminum. They are designed to fit in the perfect place and can be removed without a trace. It's magnetic with a small flat metal plate that sticks on your case or phone and it takes just a second to put it on or off. Bumps and vibration will not effect or make the phone fall off yet the magnetic force to remove it is perfect, not to hard.

For me this is the best accessory I installed on the 993. I use my cell to stream music and to view Waze. It's mounted in the perfect place in the car not obstructing anything. The picture angels just not do it justice.

I have a Samsung Galaxy S-7 edge with and Outter box cover.

Here is the Rennline install Vid http://www.rennline.com/ExactFit-Mag...tinfo/PM01.06/

This is what I was using before I bought the Rennline Unit.

Here's the one I bought

no affiliation. I stuck the magnetic part in the flat space to the right of the radio, and I mount my phone lengthwise. With the Galaxy S7, you do not even need the metallic part that attaches to the phone because underneath the glass back, the phone is metallic and will simply stick perfectly.

I mainly use it for GPS and the location is perfect without being intrusive.

I find this a better, more elegant solution. Also cheaper

But if that passenger airbag goes off, the phone and mount are heading your way ... rapidly!

Actually, in case of airbag deployment, I think the phone will hit the steering wheel. The mount will stay with the surface as the latter splits to allow airbag deployment but remains attached.

Can you post a picture for comparison with the Rennline mount?

If nothing else, the Rennline mount is a huge improvement over what you had; I could not have endured that set up.

I wonder if the magnet is a neodymium magnet? If not, it would sure be nicer if the attachment platform were smaller and less obtrusive through the use of a super magnet.

Why take the chance? Loose objects in the car during an accident can be more dangerous than the accident itself.

Looks like Rennline knocked off the Pcar Mount?

FWIW, I recently received the Rennline mount and installed it in about 10 minutes.

The mount seems very solid and the location of the phone is spot on.

I'm very happy with it.

Yikes. That original mount you had looked pretty intrusive. I've been thinking about this, but was waiting for someone else to try it out and get their feedback.

Thanks for posting your thoughts.
