Identify / Name this 4S/Turbo warning light...
Not shown in Owners Manual/Bentley/Service Tecknic '96 911 Turbo.
Guessing wheel spin/traction control (a 4S/Turbo thing?). A few interweb threads refer to it as: lateral acceleration sensor. It flickered once last night, while headed in a straight line.
Never noticed it before (even in brisk AX or HPDE) during daylight hours. Rarely drive the car a night, so maybe missed it flicker in daylight. Common flicker or pending sensor failure?

Part of the never implemented 4 wheel steering system planned for the 993.

On my '96 TT it lights up briefly with key in on position then goes out (others remain lit).
On my '97 C2 it is there in the gauge face, but doesn't light up with key in the on position (while others remain lit).
What brought it to my attention is that it lit up / flickered ever so shortly last evening. Would not expect any lighting up or flicker if a not use feature in the 993 TT/4S.

Mystery solved?
Found another thread on this topic and it mentions "wiring" it to radar detector. Bingo!
The car came with a "built-in" Radar detector. With Laser so prevalent in Fly-Over-Land, never got much use out of it. Passed a local yokel township cop around the same time "parked" on the side of the road, one reason I glanced down at the gauge cluster to confirm speed. Now think that "flicker" was the past generation Radar detector going off, given township cops have limited equipment budgets and may still be using older radar guns.

That is for option M249 as noted on the rightmost column.
Go here and look up 249:
https://www.stuttcars.com/technical/option-codes/993/
In other words, tiptronic only. If you don't have a tip, this light ain't stock.
