Default My custom "Sport" exhaust system (LPPM ON-OFF)

Just sharing my custom "Sport" exhaust valves I added in my 993. I wanted to have the "quite" sound whenever I needed it and get the loud sound with a push of a button like the newer P-Cars... so I started to look arround what valves could suit my LPPM mod tubes I had installed and found this universal kit, all full stainless steel with pretty good qualiy and finish.

I'm working to make work my useless factory wing switch as my car doesn't have the electric wing anymore so I can control the valves from there instead of this remote control shown here....still working on it.

Hope you like this mod.

Sounds good man! BTW nice looking undercarriage, did you have the motor out to do that cleaning?

Very Clever .... And the difference is enormous.

For a discrete switch - look into Porsche 928-613-240-00 . I used it for my own projects -

Very clean set up. With that note I would run it with the raw sound all day and night. Well done. Where are you out of?

Very nice work - funny I am doing this for my turbo too, got the parts, this winter's project. Where did you source the valves? I used ones off a 991 muffler (since I got that one super cheap), but the problem with those is they are default open, not closed, so the car will be loud for a second when the car is started. I like yours with the default being closed. ....

Cheers,

Mike

I just did the same thing only with electric powered valves. Works great but as others have said I like it best in the wild, not mild, mode. Your welder did a lot neater job than mine tho.

Project was mandated by wife because she is convinced the neighbours hate the raw LPMM sound. Oddly, all the neighbour gentlemen seem to like it, I wonder who she's talking to. Anyway, happy wife, happy life...

Used an old-style 911 sunroof switch, installed in the same place the old 911 sunroof switch used to go ie under the dash, above the ignition key (the dash sheet metal cutout is still there in our cars!). Ran the wires to the back at the same time as the one for rear foglights. Used high heat silicone wire and heat insulation sheathing on the wires near the exhaust, just in case.

Default Maybe FD will offer...

This mod. This would be perfect for my needs, 993 Porsche sounds when I want to hear them, and back down to 92 dB for the track days at Laguna Seca.
