Default CCU repair - Bad & Good experience

I had to repair my CCU and had the worst experience ever. Then I had a very good experience with a guy in Canada. So I just wanted to share my experience...

I had sent my CCU to Lance Aspesi from Dutchstone Global in CA. From what I heard he has a good reputation. But be careful if you're not local. I sent him my unit. He started repairing it and told me he was waiting for parts... then nada! Never heard back from him... This guy stole my CCU! I sent him many emails, called and a RLer tried to contact him with no success.

I had to buy an other used unit that had a few troubles and I found a guy 30 minutes from Montreal who repaired it and also repaired my convertible top module for low price. If you need his info, PM me.

Default Damn

I recommended this guy. I am so sorry. I'll talk to Lance and see if there is anything I can do. This is very atypical in my experience.

Unfortunately, I only have an email and phone number. Other than hasseling him, I guess the only thing I could do is ranting on this forum...

I just hope this experience (not only with this guy but also me not being cautious) will help someone here.

I would try to file a complaint with the BBB - see if he is listed with them. Maybe a fellow Rennlister lives nearby to get the unit back for you? Maybe that's an option. Keep trying and good luck.
