Help Identify Loose Electrical Connector
Howdy, I was replacing the A/C fan resistor and when I removed the lower plastic body piece I found this elec connector hanging. It was next to another similar connector with similar wire colors. The one was connected to a device in a bracket. There was a hole in the bracket above the device that looked like the loose connector should be attached to perhaps with a similar device.?
Can anyone tell me what these connectors are and what the device is?...Thx
I tried checking the parts fiche and the wiring diagrams but couldn't find anything.

Just a thought, but in my UK car the engine wiring loom was replaced under a recall, so the later wiring loom was placed in the car and that replacement loom had an extra connector which wasn't needed on my '94 car, so just sits there doing nothing.
Could it be that?

Yep. That connector is for the ambient temperature sensor. Cars with the OBC option would have the temp sensor connected to it. Otherwise, it should be tied to the other wires out of the way.
