Default CENTER CAPS, RALPH BOOTHE Design FEELER

CENTER CAPS, RALPH BOOTHE Design FEELER

Hi there everyone,

My good old friend Ralph Boothe shared with me a story of how he came to be out of the business, he told me about someone who came in and promised big things for his business however no site, nothing materialized as of a couple of years now.

Pretty much empty promises the way I see it.

Anyhow, in keeping in tradition with Ralphs Design of these items I wanted to put a feeler out to see if there would be much interest in these caps.

Being that we can offer the billet aluminum caps with the full size hood crest, even the lowest cost hood crest in gold are at $95 ea. = $380

If we were to build these caps with Gold Crest the final cost would be around $200 per center cap. We can also offer other colors, other cap colors etc. but the price will be adjusted per your request.

We also plan on improving the design of the cap, offering a style so that it can be locked in with a rubber ring rather than those little bolts that take 10-minutes to remove.

Please voice your thoughts! Thank you for your positive feedback.

Guys, this might be the ultimate answer to the question nobody asked. $200 per cap? Solving what issue that is not solved now?

Can possibly offer caps without crest for around $450 per set, but we would need to sit down and do some figuring before releasing a final price.

The better question is - why would I not buy a perfectly good set of chinese/italian metal ones for $100 or less? That is, if I don't want plastic ones.

$800 for a set? Wow. Also hard to invest in something that can so easily get stolen in seconds when you park someplace, sometime.

They look nice, but I'm afraid they're too spendy for what they are....

WPw. Great news that Ralph is OK. I despaired when the website was unresponsive. I'm in for a set without crests. Wonderful product from a super guy. Is there a way to contact Ralph?

BTW, I have a set on each of 5 cars.

My stock caps with crests are quite nice, and do me just fine, thank you. They are also quite simple to remove.

$800? Uhuh.

Me, too. Now, BootheDesign.com has a wonky placeholder about "hub caps" in MD. Curious, considering Ralph lived in CA, IIRC.
Related: PelicanParts.com's inventory of Ralph Boothe products has read "temporarily unavailable" for a long time.

Eli-- Update on Ralph's health? ^^
I like & own your WD products & Ralph Boothe's, but didn't know WD sells his center caps ... or are yours designed to be similar to his / inspired by his?
Especially if you confirm you're using his patent & that he gets a portion from your sales, I may be interested in a set of silver centers with silver or grey surround, similar to this photo.
I also know a 993 RLer who needs 1 with a gold crest to complete his set.

Eli, you can find OEM gold crests for $75 retail with free shipping here, for example: https://www.fcpeuro.com/products/por...em-93543008001

I'm certain they can be found for less, especially in any sort of volume.

Default SOLD AWESOME my birthday has come early!!!

As Jager can attest, this is a blessing.

We have been talking about this over the last few months.

I have 3 993 Black anodized caps with full size gold crest Ralph Booth patent decals on the back, I have purchased off ebay.

I need One more complete with no spin bolts like above

Would be willing to buy just the alloy part in any color, with or with out crest and willing to do the anodizing and fitting of the crest myself to save money.

Or just handle the crest fitting my self as I have several spares? And those suckers are so pricy.

Also if price is right would take a complete set as spares, or to use on my GT3 BBs wheels I run on my rest o mod VW with Porsche suspension/brakes/etc.

Have money for this asap…Email dustindapkus@yaoo.com

how quick can we make this happen?

D-- Holy schizzle. How'd you do that?

You're faster than a speeding locomotive ...er, a speeding text message I was typing to let you know about this thread.

You're like RL's own private superhero
