Default Replace foglight bulbs on Euro style bumper?

The PO of my 993 installed Euro bumpers and wired the foglights to the main headlights, and one of the fogs is out, so I need to replace it. Before I start poking around there on how to access them, I'm wondering if it's an easy job (i.e. from inside the frunk) or something that requires the car be on a lift or stands (which means I take it to my mechanic)? Attached is a photo of the bumper.

Thanks in advance!

BT

Remove screw from clear corner. Remove corner. Remove screw holding in the Turbo S scoop. Replace light. Done. 5 minutes.

And I like using that bulb grease when replacing automotive bulbs.

Attention: If you've never removed the clear corners before, be careful. After you remove the one screw on the side, don't pull your clear corner outward. You will break the tabs inside. Pull unit towards the front of the car, away from bumper.

Yep, all good advice. And make sure you top off the blinker fluid too.

Thanks P-daddy re the tabs gotcha.

I should be good on blinker fluid but will check again. Topped it off last time I changed the headlight diffraction grating.

Can someone please help me identify this foglight part, and also, does the part come further apart, i.e. to get to the bulbs? There is a small tab on it but I don't want to break it if it's not supposed to open.

Thanks!

BT

Hi Brian,

The light unit simply snaps open. There are new Hela units available with 16 LED lights FYI. A good match if you have HID headlights. See the link below for more pictures and details on the Hela lights. It's all pretty easy stuff, good luck!

Not to start a new topic, but what's the procedure for removing the fog light from US bumper? Need to replace the parking light. BTW, what's the right bulb number for that?

Thanks! I keep forgetting that those are 8mm heads in the bumperettes.

Now I need to figure what bulb is used for parking light.

If you're running with Tore's HID lights, his Ba9s LED's are a pretty good color match. I may have an extra air lying around in the basement if you want them. Just let me know and I will have a look. If you don't have the HID's, you may want to buy the whole kit. http://www.bergvillfx.com/index.php/...-discount.html
