+1

First, not many of these cars come up for sale. Thus, there are very few comparables. My guess is that the C2S should be similar in price to a C4S (maybe a bit less?), assuming condition and mileage are similar.

For the buyer who wants a wide body air cooled Porsche but doesn't want the heavier front end associated with AWD, there is no other option! So, maybe there's even a premium on the C2S but then again the C4S has the turbo brakes. . . Regardless, the C2S value is much better compared with a C4S rather than a narrow body C2.

If it doesn't have any "deer" stories, you should expect to get $65-75K for a wide body 993 w 80xxx miles.

Full disclosure: I acquired my 98 C2S w 73xxx miles a few months ago after searching for almost a year. Expensive but the smiles per mile factor is fabulous!

GLWS.

Typically the C2S has been higher than C4S. I'd suggest a opening price at 65k and expect offers in the mid 50 possibly towards 60k

Thank you for serving!

Like the difference between an empty and full tank of gas.

I hope you get 70. For my "heavy" C4S in that less desirable arena red/cashmere combo with 99k on the clock ( albeit everything has been redone including new paint- again less desirable), I was offered 72k for from another PCA member and Boxter owner in my neighborhood 2 weeks ago. No BS- he's got the dough and paying cash- but I am not selling. Way too fun to drive such an undesirable and heavy machine.

You have enough yes votes…post it over in the for sale section asking $70K.

And thanks for your service.

Oh boy! I guess I put my foot in my mouth with the heavy front end comment. In my defense, all I can say is that some prefer Pamela Anderson while other would rather have J. Lo -- both fine choices.

{Btw, arena red is awesome on a wide body. I just knew that the odds of me finding an arena red C2S were slim to none.}

Keep the car - almost impossible to replace when you get back
finance the house - USAA and/or NFCU still have good rates
Fly low and fast - get back here safe and sound to enjoy both

If the car is paid for, Usaa may allow you to use it as collateral for a loan.

Sell it to Bart and be done with it. It's that easy.

Hey, Matt.

I wish I were still in the market. I'd buy your car in a heartbeat.

GLWS. Hope all is well.

Pamela Anderson? Dear lord, we can do better than that. Natalie Portman and Scarlett Johannson form an analogy that works MUCH better for me, personally. Intelligence and beauty, both with divine posteriors. Although J Lo has an undeniable appeal to a man of my particular ... preferences.

Josh,
I like your style!!! Both women you mention, beat the other two swogs, hands down.

If I may...I'd like to add some Penelope Cruz, with a smattering of Eva Mendes, just to make things interesting!

Good luck with the sale. I'm in Baghdad right now and also on Arfcom. The weather here is perfect right now so at least you missed the summer
