Another option for the short-medium term: Buy the car back from the old lady, prep and place it into storage, register it non-op, and cancel the insurance. Saves you a big chunk of money to keep the car, while you finish up your obligations. Once you're able to support the car habit again, bring it out of hibernation.

Obamacare gonna lead to controls??? OT Big Time
Some docs are refusing Medicare as well as Medicaid and Obamacare patients. It's private pay with a "discount" for cash.

Exactly! Sorry, not feeling sorry for you. I sorta see (any kind of super or sports) car in your future. Be thankful you didn't have to wait till you're 60 to be able to first enjoy a nice car.

Who wouldn't be depressed after selling their 993 but like others have said, you can ALWAYS get another one one day. And, it may be even nicer than the one you sold. Maybe you've always wanted another color combo or you can find one with 1/2 the miles. Whatever it is, just stay focused on your education and everything else will fall into place the way it's supposed to.

Not to be dismissive of your situation, but if this is the worst thing that has happened to you in your short time on this earth, you have lived a charmed and blessed life. There will be other cars. You have a lot of life in front of you. Go live it.

Finish School, pay your dues, and enjoy life. Once you are done with school, you will have mo problem buying another 993 later. Buying a 993tt, that's a challenge on a doctor's salary.

haha yea thanks guys, even the buyer was surprised at the condition of the car with 119,000 miles. And this guy works and builds porsches for a living lol. He did a full PPI for his family member which is the one who is going to own the car. Oh well, back to class, back to kicking *** so I can get out of here quick, and maybe one day buy it back or get buy one of your cars thanks for letting me vent out here!!

And sorry if this is too serious a thought, but may I amend that these first-world "problems" can really play havoc on where we end up going in the long run. Keep the main things the main things and you'll find yourself rethinking words like "depression."

You poor thing. I couldn't get a Porsche until I was in practice for 15 years. You wont get sympathy here. Besides that precious thing in the back will cost you a lot more than a Porsche. That's where my money went. Now its my turn
