Wow, we've got the PDC 993 ownership subset in on this thread?

I did the same thing, once I hit 100k a weight was lifted, and I think about mileage less now.

Congrats on hitting 6 figures!

Bought mine at 162km so I missed the 160934 party :P

In Canada, people tend to fear the 200,000 kms mark.

Default 82,000 on mine...

I had better step it up a notch. My 993, what can I say, simply the best car I have ever owned, or want to own. I have driven 993 and 996 Turbo cars, GT3 cars…..no thanks, I'll keep my 1997 993 narrow body coupe. Just enough HP and torque to be super fun on the street and track, and not too much so as to put me in harms way, well at least so far.

I think the 100K angst helped to get me into my 993 at a price I could afford. 100K is nothing, really...it's more about the maintenance. I'd rather have a well sorted, good condition car with 100K on it than a 0-50K garage queen that's sat for years rotting & needing a ton of maintenance to get sorted.

Drove a 55K'er weekend before last. Original owner '95 coupe, so there's nothing suspect. Still all stock. Understand I've not driven my 4S in about 6 months (and 2.5 years for the yellow car). But compared to the similar mileage 996 Turbo, the 993 is an ox cart for going up-and-down the road duty.

We won't even get to the comparison with a third guy's '72 T..........

The odo reads 94,500 on my C2S daily driver, 70k of which are mine. Took the car to Pittsburgh Vintage GP last weekend, where it picked up several compliments. By the time we get home next weekend, we will have covered about 1500 miles on interstate and rural roads on this trip. These cars are meant to be driven.

100,000 miles? Woo hoo! Liberation. Mine will clock 200K this year and it's now worth more than what I paid including the cost for new paint and Rennaire. Sure - a high mileage car may be worth less but keeping it in the garage, unused, makes it worthless. To me, anyhow.

I honor preservation but bought mine to drive, too.
