Hmmm ... maybe. The owner of that particular 51 coupe posted this comment and that picture when someone asked what '51 Azure Blue looked like:
"My 1951 Porsche is painted Azure blue... for reference"
I can tell you, every picture I see of Azure looks a bit different depending on lighting, camera exposure/settings etc. ... I suspect the Boxster color is a new interpretation.

After doing some quick research on the web, it appears the color of the 51 is a VW color called Azure Blue which looks like it matches. The Porsche color of Azure Blue is definitely Navy and does not have that much green in it.

From spotless, glistening 993s that you & others had at Parade, I was floored by how gorgeous RLers' cars are. IMHO, JPP & TwinTurbo959's Speedsters are amazing, I could look at them all day
...& I totally agree: 993s look epic in motion; that's part of the reason I try to get to driving events like Parade
