Default Smaller front bumperette that is nearly flush

Has anyone designed something like this? I havent found anything in my searches except for one post that didnt go anywhere.

I was talking ot the guy at better bodies motorsport about the apparent need for something like this and he seemed to agree but, I imagine a smaller part that is nearly flush except for an upper part to lay over the gap in the bumper and painted to match would be ideal. I picture it to be a smooth painted to match part and the reason I say nearly flush is that it would likely sit out enough to look even with the upper part that would need to cover the bumper gap. Maybe "it's not worth the trouble just delete them" will be the consensus?

I think it would look a little strange as it would have to go up into the smooth bumper cover area to cover the hole.

I hope to do a delete at some point. This would not appeal to me too much as I feel the benefit of the delete to be the overall sleeker bodyscape created by the 2 lights meeting or the signal light adjoining the turbo duct with nothing in between.

Ok so my other thought was even easier for someone to produce and would be a stick on part that was slightly larger than the gap with the center designed to recess into the gap and the outer visable portion slightly wider that was smooth and painted to match. Large bumper plug and the lights below would then meet? It might look like a later model pop up headlight squirter if you know what I mean; slightly larger plastic plug painted to match? I just think anything must look better and not everyone will have the time or money right away. Maybe delete is the only option.

Maybe it would be worthwhile searching this forum and contacting the members that have posted about "3-D printer projects". It would be an interesting challenge for the CAD/CAM folks herein I would think. GL

I would be interested in either of these options.

Something more flush not sitting out from the bumper would look better to me as well.

Just delete! Much cleaner and not that much work, take care of it when you do a bumper respray.

I honestly would be in favor of a flush cap in body color that just goes over the bumperette hole. -To be used with Euro corners.
Call me silly, but I am trying all I can to keep my 993 "unmolested" and able to turn back to delivery stock if need be.

OP: please keep me informed of this as if you do not persuit it, I may. A channeled eurethane cap that matches the contour of the fascia can't be that hard to make. Something that slides in place from the corner light opening below...

I'd be interested in seeing a "bumper plug" type, body color plug that slides up into the notch of my US bumper. Would be way more cost effective than the full fill and re-spray fix.

I posted last year about making some (rough) versions of my own. They are good 10 footers but up close I did not get the contours good enough - what this really needs is a 3D scan and then 3D print. My plans to get a 3D printer are on hold so if someone else wants to take this up...
