Default Difference between 39S & 39R

As per the Porsche service paint manual on page 3.3.2 39S has a paint system of WP2(water-baked paint,pearl-color effect, two stage) and 39R has a paint system code of P2(pearl-effect, two stage). Both 39R & 39S have a sales designation code of K6 (Aventurine Green pearl effect) and are the exact same color.

Last edited by 77'3.6vram; 01-31-2012 at 12:17 PM. Reason: Two stage process is also called "double-layer process" in the manual

One of my favorite colors. Pictures just don't quite do them justice though, AG must be seen in person to truly appreciate.

It's a very difficult colour to photograph. I'd like to just walk around an A G car, in the sunshine.

A Gorgeous color on the 993! Used to walk past a 96 coupe most everyday on the Warner Bros lot. Nope,, it wasn't one of Seinfelds many Porsche's.

Default Hoosiers

Yes paddy. Md is more fun on Hoosiers. I have streets too but the lm wheels look so good. Besides that car in not being driven much now. It is still at my indie shop after my pss10 install
I think he likes having it there for the positive attention it gets. It's like free storage for me and he is tinkering with the car along the way. My indie has free reign to fix anything he finds because I completely trust him. I just need it back for next week for the 991 unveiling since it will be in the showroom for the display.

Fond memories when looking at the 993's paint color order sheet. There were two color option price tiers if I recall.... ??

I too saved all of the 993 order documentation, catalogs, Monroney label... etc. Memory Lane..... that or a "strike it rich" on a ebay auction. LoL.
