I spoke to a Tech guy at superbright led. He told me to get the B8.4d which is there version of single led 6 lumen and will fit perfectly in. As I cannot find the correct #74 twist lower. Hope this helps, since I cannot find PorscheLed for there version of lower and upper bulb as a set. Here is the direct link http://www.superbrightleds.com/morei...-led/223/1040/

I have exactly those at home and will install them over the coming few days. I'm using the single wide smd led's now but upgrade to 3led wide.
I'll report back if it makes a difference.

Hello 9eleven,
I did the install but the difference between 1 smd and 3 wide smd's isn't noticable. They're still dimmable but if you already have smd's, don't bother.
Haven't taken any pics yet.

Bertever,
I feel for you -- i tried the LED conversion around the time this thread started in 2009. The Chinese made LED's are similar to the original bulbs but mine were a few thou. out here and there and i found that without modification they just didn't fit. And this despite the seller assuring me that they would fit ok.
Out of about 14 Led's i got 3 to fit and work ok.
After many hours effort i gave up...............
Looks like not much has changed.

Just a quick note for those looking for the Porscheled site; the correct link is http://sportscarleds.com/ and this page has the menu for the various models they make kits for. After much work I got all but my speedometer to work. However, my odometer has quit and I don't feel up to doing the repair myself, so I will probably send it to California and have them do the odo and lights.

Don't bother with cheap Chinese 74 bases you might find on ebay. They wont fit well and contact is mariginal at best. Buy the Superbrights indicated in post #61 above - they are a direct fit and work well.
