I searched but couldnt find...does anyone know if the factory Sportdesign ducktail option still has the spoiler mechanism underneath?

Im looking at a car with the option and Id like to know if i would have the option to install a standard spoiler at some future point without also having to install the mechanism.....or are the mechanism and controls removed or never installed when this option is ordered?

as a side, it makes perfect sense that they would obsolete these parts and save money/weight. When you consider this option cost $5k and they also saved a fair amount on the obsoleted parts their margins must be great on this option (i know the $5k includes the front fascia as well but still). Not mad at Porsche, just admiring the business model.

I am thinking of going the other way... wondering if I have to remove all that stuff to get it to work if I order the OEM part... interesting.

I LOVE the look of the ducktail, but won't be adding the front spoiler assembly to mine. I know they say it screws with the aero of the car, but I won't be pushing the top speed so should be fine.
