Interesting and typically candid review by Matt Farrah here:
http://www.thedrive.com/gear-up/7083...pilot-sport-4s
I honestly used to find the guy a bore, but the more I read / watch, the more I like. He pulls no punches, but usually subtly. The best is watching him drive a car on one take that's been turned into a POS and watch him try to be polite.
Regarding the tire, looks like it's a very, very marginal improvement over the PSS, and a significant improvement over the P Zero...which seems to be fairly universally accepted here.

I just replaced the original Pirelli P-Zero 295/30-20" rear tires on my 2015 Carrera S at 21,850 miles with 3/32 tread left. The PDCC gave me exactly even tread wear side to side. Since my front original Pirellis still have 6/32" tread left and are only two years old (Thanksgiving 2014 delivery date), I elected to buy two more Pirelli P-Zero "NO" Porsche rated tires just for the rear. All four should now wear out at the same time and will be replaced with smoother and quieter riding Michelins Pilot Super Sports in a few more years.
My local tire shop that I have dealt with since high school in the 1960's ordered two Pirelli P-Zero 295/30-20" tires with the Porsche NO rating to match the original front tires from their source last Wednesday and they arrived in two days. The price was $335 each including mounting and another $10 to balance. Actually beat the Tire Rack price by a few dollars and included mounting cost.
This tire shop, now in its third generation ownership by the original owner's grandson, mounts many of the local 24" custom wheels so I trust them. I did photocopy the two pages from my owner's manual showing the jack points and the wheel lock adapter with 118 lbs torque settings for them. They even put the lock adapter back in the luggage compartment where it is stored.
I forget to tell them that the Porsche crest on the little hubcaps are supposed to point to the valve stem though . . .

Got the PS4S front tires (245/35R20) installed today on the 991S!
The PS4S offer a much smoother and quieter ride than the OEM Pirelli tires yet the steering response is just as good. The steering weight is lighter as well which makes sense given the lower weight of the tire. I immediately noticed that these PS4S seem to pick up just as many rocks as the Sport Cup 2's on my GT4. The compound on the outside edges of these tires is seriously sticky.
The rear tires (295/30R20) are back-ordered according to TireRack and will likely be delivered in mid-April. Maybe they'll come sooner as another US-based Rennlist user posted an image of the 295-width tires in his possession! I'm looking forward to testing the full set in dry and wet weather in months to come.
(The majority of the above post is cross-posted from a topic on the same tire from the GT4 forum.)

Running the OEM Pirelli PZero tires in the rear until the 295-width PS4S arrive. The new front tires have made a huge improvement in ride quality already. Looking forward to results from the full set.

Patiently waiting for my PS4's tire rack shows the fronts in stock and rear (305) on the 10th.
