Swapping seatbelts in 991 Cab DIY?
I just recently picked up a 991 4S Cab with black seatbelts and I'm thinking about changing them to red using the ones from Maxspeed. I've searched around for a DIY on how to make this swap but haven't had much luck finding specific info for a cab. Does anyone know if one exists? I'm pretty handy around the car so removing trim etc. doesn't bother me but I'd prefer a step by step thing if someone else has done it first. I'd be doing front and rears.
I found something about the front swap but that was for a coupe and I'm thinking it's probably different on a cab given the belt probably is in a different place given the roofline.

Dealer just quoted me $2000 to switch to RED...................about 6 hours labour.
Good luck!

Not sure if there's much difference compared to a coupe. After visiting their website, I wouldn't use those if they gave them to me. For a minimum amount of $, go with the factory belts. In a crash, they're the only thing keeping you in the car.

Factory belts are $900 from my dealer

My closest dealer wanted 6-7 hours of labor for all of the belts to be changed. Not a lot to it, just labor intensive.
For just the front set on a coupe: disconnect the battery and wait for a minute before disconnecting the pretensioner unit.
Remove the b pillar trim panel. Then remove the seat-belt pretensioner, the lower b pillar screw, and upper b pillar screw. You will then have to release the connectors for the pretensioner. Remove everything. Install in reverse order to removal. IIRC torque to 37ft/lbs.
Whatever you do, try to avoid triggering the seat-belt pretensioners as you will then need to replace them if they've been activated and locked. You can check for any fault codes if you have access to a PIWIS Tester (likely will have to go to the dealer).
Either way, you will need to have the dealer read out for fault codes to make sure the pretensioners weren't activated once all the belts are installed.
