Default Installed carbon chrono eye cover.

Just got done installing the sport chrono eye lid cover. What a pain in the a##, but got it done without breaking anything. Getting the cover off is tricky. I used a trim tool and started nearest the windshield.

I went to the vane closest to the windshield because it was solid plastic on the one side, as opposed to prying on the center vanes alone. Pry up there until a gap opens on the side from the dash and with your other hand stick another trim tool in there and pry up without prying on your leather dash if you have leather. Have tape there as well for protection on your edges if you have too. I went from the vane to pull up because prying from the side of the leather and trying to get the tool in there was just too tight. I knew it was gonna mar stuff, even with tape.

Than after getting both sides freed up I went to the front side where the chrono is and popped that up. Right in front of the chrono. Than finished the 2 side clips back towards the windshield and pulled them and they released. Pulled from near the middle of the vanes on the side dash vents.

The sun sensor needs to be released, as my wire was just too short, the plastic rectangle it is in will unclip from the whole top cover. I have a 2016 and thats how mine was. Than I unplugged the sport chrono and the rest is easy. Just use a 10 and a 20 torx driver for your screws. Than reverse the procedure.

Nice! Who did you buy it from? Hopefully not AWE!

I know they don't do carbon, but hopefully this piece meets your expectations or the wrath will be unleashed.

Hey, that's very nice. Use a sunshade. The sun is brutal on the carbon fiber. I use the pop-up disks from Walmart. Stows easily under your seat.

You know what Lex, didn't even give it thought until my had touched the speaker cone 5 times. I was thinking, man I wish I had that speaker right now. So easy to unbolt and change it out at that point! And if I don't have a sunshade, I will cover it with a cup for the sun lol

Thanks! Daniel from DB is great to work with, responds all the time and their product is top notch! I ordered the little triangle corners from him as well. They will be coming with my steering wheel carbon trim. Than I will have my fulfillment lol

Before you install these parts, do you wax them? I recommend RejeX.

Just looking at those triangles gives me a headache thinking about the install.

I'm liking you more & more.

I heard of Liquid Glass in the 1970's.

I just like RejeX. Not sure how well it does for sun protection (like filtering out UV). But it holds up well to the sun and heat, since it's a sealant synthetic wax.
