Default Porsche Genuine Indoor Car Cover Techequipment

Tried it once on my Cabriolet and its 'sticks' to the roof. Bummer - guess they made these for the coupes. Odd that Porsche did not try this on their cabs before they brought it to market, they would have lined the roof portion if they had. Pretty nice cover otherwise - long as you have a 991 or 991S Coupe.

Mine is for sale in the Parts Classified if anyone is interested. On the car for all of 10 minutes before I decided its not for me. Good deal if you can use it.

Put a plastic sheet over the cab top first. No sticking.

That's what people do most of the time.

Painters drop from Home Depot or a hardware store. Cut to size. Bingo.

It's a good deal. I believe I paid $100 more from the stealership. I don't see why you are having an issue though. I usually hook the mirrors and then work foward than back. I always had problems with orientation until I started from the mirrors. Good luck with the sale.

Dang, just ordered and had delivered a covercraft dusttop indoor cover. Fits well but this would have been cool too. G'luck with the sale!

Yeah, it sticks a little to the cabriolet top, but it's a non issue. The cover still fits the car perfectly, and stretches over the ragtop. In the spring, there's a little lint, that comes right off in 2 minutes with your sticky tape roller.

Love my cover....Fits like a glove on my GT3. Easy to put on. Just start on the mirrors and work from there. Material feels like silk and no way it would scratch the car. Of course I put it on over a clean car......

A cover seems like a great way to scratch up your car if it isn't freshly washed. Has anyone had any issues with scratches?

I guess putting it over a clean car is the only option, as you mention.

Lots of covers and cars over the years. Never an issue with scratches. I've always been mindful so perhaps that's helped.

Same here - but mostly I'm using it as a dust cover and light protection from other people walking through the garage.

Duane - glad to hear that it's sold. How's the 2-wheel project coming along?

FWIW, it turns out I do hate money enough to have bought the Martini cover for my GTS. I like the CoverCraft form fit covers much better with respect to material and ease of use. BUT, the Porsche cover fits really well and the Martini stripes are a joy to look at:
