Default Any ideas what's wrong with my GTS...

Hello;

So after ~3 months of happy GTS ownership, finally got an issue. There's noise coming from the rear of the car, it sounds like a rock stuck in the tire. A high pitch rotational sound that comes when slowing from ~20mph. Dealer looked at it & they looked at the exhaust as the main culprit (maybe exhaust rattle?). They said the found rocks in the exhaust outlet cover. However, this did not fix the problem. Going to give them another call next week. Any ideas?

Thanks for the feedback. I'll mention these to the service guys next week. This sucks. Didn't expect this to happen so soon...never had a single issue with my BMWs in the past. I hope this is an easy/simple fix.

Yes - it should be. These are very very well engineered cars but they do get small rocks between the brake pads and the rotor etc... Golf ***** rolling under the seat? Sounds like a $5K problem. Keep us posted...

How in the world did you get rocks in the exhaust outlet cover?

if its coming from the back, it could be the muffler bearings. they usually don't go out with such low mileage tho.

That's my guess also. Hard to believe the Porsche tech didn't check that.

I think you have this problem like others have said. As for BMW, I thought this would be funny to add here....
Small stones between the brake shield and rotor.
