Thanks for the input. Clearly the laws in California are relevant for this guy living in TORONTO, ONTARIO, CANADA.

I actually went 10 months without a front plate but luck caught up to me... my GTS is a daily driver and I got 3 tickets in 2 months ($110 each), two of which were from cops in my neighbourhood. The last cop strongly advised I resolve my plate situation as the next time I'd be pulled over it would include an order to appear in court. Good times.

Getting a GTS which has the Sport Design bumper and a third radiator. Also have the parking sensors, so I really don't know how deal with it.
The tow hook is not a solution because of the parking sensors.
Does anyone have pictures of passable solutions?
You could try a license plate frame that can be recessed manually or motorized.

The car is so low that putting a plate mechanism underneath is just asking for it to be ripped off once the car goes up a moderate incline. Honestly, I don't know how it can last on a Porsche or a Vette.

It's more than just a "fine", it's also the inconvenience of being pulled over, the hassle of dealing with the cop who is inevidently looking for more fines to hit you with, and it's the wasted time - which may be enough to make you late if you had planned to be somewhere.

Yeah exactly... I'm really not bothered with the fine itself but the hassle isn't worth it. Either way I'm happy with how the front plate turned out as it doesn't interfere with the front parking sensors and it is a 2min job to put it back to stock when necessary.

I hadn't driven with plates for 40 + years, until the local city, L.A., needed revenue, then I got a ticket, actually two. These from being parked, never when in motion. So when ever I parked the car on public streets for extended periods of time, I would screw on the plate.
So far in my new location, I haven't had any problems, maybe its because the gov. here operates in the black.
