Quick update... 6 weeks after deposit, have received my commission number--sweet!

A few build changes, after sitting in a different seats & considering how dependent I've become on rear view camera: switched to 18 way seats & added camera. Of course every day I build a totally different car and am always thinking about what I want--but have only officially changed my build with the dealer once!

Excellent build, especially the MT. I ordered my car too. The waiting really is the hardest part, but it's worth it for the amazing car

Nice - congratulations. How is your build schedule looking?

Funny about the rear camera, but I'm with you about it having become important. I drove my 993 this weekend and had to remind myself that there would be no beeping when I was about to hit something and that I'd have to rely on dead reckoning.

Got a screenshot of the Porsche ordering program today... Build locks mid-Sept and is expected to be at dealer early December. Need to avoid car configurator... Past 2nd thoughts and into 3rd, 4th, and 5th thoughts re build!

Yeah, best to stay away from the configurator.

There is one option I'd love to have selected (leather seat backs), and if I could do it again would probably have opted for PCCBs. But it's going to be a fantastic car as ordered, as I'm sure yours will be.

Most probably you will get your car on November. Basing from current delivery timeline. Enjoy the wait. You can do paint correction in your current car every other week to make you busy stop making configurator changes.
Remember, it is the journey and not the goal. NOT!!!!!

Great choice! . Just got mine a week ago. I've avoided the wait by buying from a stock car that had most of my options. This is also my first P car and I can't stop smiling. I came from an M4 which was powerful car but the GTS is in another league. I found myself going to my garage just to look at it. I can't wait for the 2000 miles break in to take it to 7K.
Three months will go fast, you'll get a nice Christmas gift. Congratulation!

just fyi a number of people (including myself) have been caught by surprise by their orders locking prematurely, esp with an SA who is not paying attention (not you Brett) you could find yourselves with some last minute changes that missed the boat

Happened to me. I think my blood pressure is just now returning to normal and this was in May. Thankfully The one big thing I cared about was successfully added after the lock date, but don't count on that happening and I missed a couple of small things that I wanted. Anyway, word to the wise, set your configuration as early as possible and try not to mess with it. Also find yourself a SA that is on it.

My SA is nice & seems honest...but a bit more old school. Not super communicative with all this modern technology aka email. But happy I got a car @ the local dealership, decent discount, and he's friendly to my family incl my 4 yo who, as you can imagine, acts like a kid

Build locks soon. Estimated delivery is 12/11. 6 months from deposit to delivery.
