Your's looks very nice. I like the color, but then I am partial to silver.

Three out of four of my 911's have been silver. A Lagoon Green '87 Targa got in the mix (really looked like a light metallic blue).
This is my 4th Porsche all have been silver with black cabrio top, so I also am partial to this color combo.

Default 'Lagoon Green Metallic'...

'Lagoon Green Metallic' is a relatively rare color. It was a 'Special Order' listed color in MY1987/1988 and I believe again in 'MY1990'. The color code was 35Y (F2).

Not to be confused with 'Lago Green Metallic', an extremely rare MY1956 356A color which was definitely 'Green'!

I am pretty sure that was the color code. Although the color in your pictures are not exactly how my car actually looked. Maybe the color balance of the photos are just a bit off. Attached are a couple pictures on my '87 Targa as how the color actually looked. The first picture is the closest in most lighting conditions, although it changed a bit in sunsets, etc. I am sorry it left the family otherwise I would have three 911's from different eras.

Congrats on the C4 with Burmeister! I really wanted a C4 instead of a C4S (I know sacrilegious!) because you can play with the engine more when driving at US speeds. Great looking car and a 7MT at that too. Love it!

Thanks. I never would have ordered a car with a $5k radio upgrade, but it does sound nice.

It took about 7 months to find a C4 with a manual transmission in a color that was acceptable to me (and with low mileage). Lot's of black 991's out there and cabs.

But in the last 7 months have been constantly on this forum as I had been searching for a 991 C4 and wanted to hear about user experiences, etc.

Well two weeks ago I found my car in New Jersey (I live in Michigan). So I thought I would share some first day pictures as others seem to do when their new arrival shows up. Nothing earth shattering or creative, just documented the 991 minutes off the transport truck. I didn’t want to pick it up as the weather in the mid-west and east have not exactly been nice lately. It’s a 2013, C4, 6,200 miles.

I purchased it from Maserati of Bergen County in NJ, and I have to say these guys were extremely nice and accommodating in every way possible. They made the interstate transaction very easy to do. And with a Porsche dealer practically next door to them (the same dealer where the car was originally purchased under 2 years ago), they handled getting the car there and back from the Porsche PPI inspection. I did not physically go there so I bought it remotely. They did a live walk-around the car with me though on an iPad using FaceTime

I’m keeping my 993 tucked away except for a few Sunday drives, as 993 values are tending to go up nowadays. I’m sure the 991 will never go up in value from what I paid, so I will enjoy this as my daily driver summer car (along with my Audi Q5 for really nasty days
Funny how thoughts run...993 check, Q5 check...I have also been looking for a used 991. At least I know I am not alone now.

Don't give up hope. The right one is out there, it just takes a while if you stick to your guns on what are 'must haves'.

Think of it as a 3k upgrade, the Bose cost 2k so add 3k to that. 2k for not so nice, 3k for nice.

Here are a few pictures of my new to me (2013) 991 along with my '97 993 Targa which I have had for 12 years.

Just iPhone pictures so not great quality but just more as a reference to show the difference between the two cars.

993 is Arctic Silver (48,000 miles), 991 is Platinum Silver (6,200 miles). VERY different cars.

Congrats. Very, very nice. I live in Livonia and picked up a 2014 991 4 last August. I'll look forward to seeing it in person at the Woodward Auto Zone cars and coffee...
