Default New GTS

I just took delivery of my 991 GTS. I am very happy with the car. I traded in my like new 2012 997 GTS on this car, and while I loved the 997 GTS, I like this one even more.

I know the rules, pictures or it didn’t happen. But it is raining here today and most of tomorrow, so will be Sunday at earliest before I can take some pictures outside. In the meantime, here is the build:

911 Carrera GTS
White
Black Leather Interior incl. Alcantara GTS Package in Carmine Red
Instrument Dials in Carmine Red
PASM Sport Suspension
GTS Interior Package
PDK
Fire Extinguisher
Smoking Package
Electric Slide/Tilt Sunroof in Glass
Adaptive Sport Seats Plus (18 way) with memory package
BOSE Audio Package
Premium Package Plus i.c.w. Adaptive Sport Seats Plus (18 way)
Door Sill Guards in Carbon Fiber, Illuminated
Ornamental Porsche Crest

By the way, the picture in my avatar is my old 997 GTS, not the new one. Yes, I got white again.

Congratulations GSIRM3! That spec looks great! Look forward too seeing a few pictures, when it quits raining.

Would love to hear more details on the driving experience between the 997.2 GTS and 991 GTS. I'm debating making the jump as well. Any negatives such as the steering???

EXCELLENT spec! It is almost exactly the same as the GTS I ordered. Compared to yours, I added LEDs and deleted the glass sunroof (mine was steel), the extinguisher and the carbon door sills.

I too had a previous white 997.2 GTS, although mine was an '11.

Just after my GTS arrived at my dealer, while still in PDI, a white GT3 arrived as well. After much soul searching I ended up with the GT3.

+1

I test drove a 997GTS back to back with a 991S before committing to the 991GTS. 991 felt more mid engined than the 997. Interested to know your impressions and thoughts.

It's been raining here since I brought it home on Thursday. Finally some sun today, but I plan to wax it today. I will post some impressions of the comparison of my 997 GTS with my 991 GTS as soon as I drive it some more. The steering felt fine on the drive home from the dealer, but that was only 20 miles.

There's an excellent article in Total 911 magazine on just this subject, in the current issue (Mar 25). Very in-depth, you might want to check it out.
