PSP option with SCP

I have 2 Porsches, both 2014. Boxster without, 911 with.
The boxster requires a little more effort to turn the wheel in parking lot at a standstill.
That is the only time you notice the presence of the power steering.
You totally can live without it assuming you are not physically challenged in some unique way (one arm for example) or exceedingly old and frail.

Thanks everyone for your input, it is much appreciated.
I finally drove the car for about 30mins today at various speeds, with and without sports/sports plus/SPASM activated. I was trying hard to pick up on any differences to my previous 991 C2S without PSP and I honestly could not tell any difference except when parking.
In fact, this car felt better than my C2S, the combo of AWD and SPASM is awesome, and this C4S felt a little more stable/planted/sporty than the C2S with the standard PASM!!! I am by no means some well seasoned track star, but that was my impression.
Going to go back to my dealer next week and hopefully bring her back home.

Drifting
I have PSP on my car and I also track it. PSP has absolutely no effect on the track at speed. In fact it had no effect above parking lot speeds. And Sport Chrono does not turn it off.

Thank you for your input Brad,
This was exactly how it felt to me, I only felt some assistance while parking, otherwise nada. Great to hear on track PSP is not an issue!
