Parking your 911 at a Vegas strip casino?

I just read your story last night. Damn that sucks. This is kinda why I am leery of parking a $100k car in public casino lot for a days-long period. This is what I think I am gonna shoot for. Just wondering if anyone had had success in this approach. Well I consider Bellagio a high end casino... but we are staying in 'etc'. (Planet Hollywood to be exact). First time at PH so completely unfamiliar with the parking/valet situation. Nah, the point is to take the 911 out for a long desert drive. Besides, the 'beater' is the wife's 2015 Lexus. Don't tell her I called it that... I would accept having my car 'on display' like that, assuming they keep people from groping it.
With all the other exotics flying around town, don't be surprised if you're falling under the radar.
These one off horror stories can happen any day of the week and any town.
Enjoy your great car.

Just rent a crap car and have peace of mind. It's not worth having the car constantly on your mind while you're trying to maintain a poker face!

In reality, valet horror stories are few & far between. I love my P Car, so if I have to pay extra for some peace of mind, I will do it. Stay in a top of the line Hotel, you should be okay with valet.
Just sayin...

I just got back from Las Vegas a few weeks ago. We took the Cayman. Self-parked it everywhere. Most casinos had parking stalls that were wider than the stalls in most parking garages around here.

Sadly, there's no such thing as being "OK with valet" for me. Too many trust issues, likely due to knowing too many valets, and knowing that valets won't ever valet their cars.

I'm the guy who had his tt vandalized in the Belligio parking lot. The car is now for sale at Sloans. I didn't use the valet because I knew the guy I gave my keys to would not be the same guy to retrieve the car for me. I had only owned the car for four days at the time. I felt great regret for selling it even before the recent price run up. I was hoping to buy a 356 Speedster, but their prices accelerated away from me. The car is way better than Sloan is representing it, IMO. Use the valet if it goes to a secure lot. Casinos create losers. Losers are angry. Angry losers are likely to act out. My car was the victim of an angry loser with a framing hammer.

Bad things happen to cars everywhere, I don't think parking lots at a strip casino is any worse. If you're so worried about what might happen the best bet is to leave it in the garage at home. Otherwise, throw the valet $50 or $100 to leave it up front.
But whatever you do don't worry about it while you're there, that's why you have insurance. Just have a great time.

Our November Vegas trip got canceled so we replaced it with a New Years trip, and stayed at the Flamingo. We drove the Porsche but when we got to valet Tuesday afternoon it was full and they were only taking 'diamond' and '7-stars'.
For those of you unfamiliar with Caesars' levels, 'diamond' just means you've given them enough money in the past year or so that you probably could've turned that base into an 'S'.
I did not want to self park, and the wife was very close to hitting diamond status (close enough to hit it the next day) so we told the valet lady she was diamond but didn't have her card with her. I handed her a 20 and said we would go get a card and come back. She said as long as we didn't need to get it out until the weekend we were good. I am sure the fact that we were getting out of a gorgeous 911 helped seal the deal.
My challenge personally at the casino is to win more playing poker than my wife loses in the slots and table games... I've yet to succeed at that goal, although I did come closer this time around... and she did make that diamond status, so now we get to cut to the front of the buffet line. Yay.
But anyways, this morning the car pickup went just fine- not a scratch, and the odometer indicates that no valets took it for a test drive. The valet that brought it around was a young guy and as I looked back I saw him high-fiving a fellow valet saying 'and it's even my favorite color!' lol
The drive from Phx to Vegas is pretty nice- very scenic. Very heavy traffic Tuesday in both directions & extremely light traffic today. I definitely need to get serious about having an escort installed because on those long stretches with no one around you just want to open it up.

Wife & I have had good luck with our 911 @ Caesars valet as well. As the last poster suggests, it helps to have high status in their rewards system & to tip generously...T

Not a fan of Las Vegas, but did just spend the weekend in the Beau Rivage Casino in Biloxi, MS and had no issues, self parked in their giant garage and had a huge corner spot, car was fine when I returned. The drive home to Florida was even more fine
