Oops sorry must be a glitch/mis-information on the part of the configurator I took those dimensions from. sorry.

So wait are the offsets below accurate or is this TBD?

Hello Guys,

So myself, and a couple of other Porsche guys have been giving some feedback to HRE and they are releasing something at SEMA many of you will be excited to hear about.....especially the 991 GT3 guys.

HRE is releasing the new R1 wheel that will have a specially designed 19" Version to work on the new 991 GT3's and other Porsche models. As many of you know there is a lower mount that hits the barrels of 19" wheels.

I will have pictures soon. If you have questions please don't hesitate to call me. I have pricing available upon request.

And I do apologize for going slightly off track, this means that you will have a 19" centerlock option if you choose.

So for those of us still a bit mystified-like me--Are you saying you will have a 19" wheel for a 991 2016 GTS center lock , for those of u show might prefer to go down a size for winter ?

My 991 GTS is a spring delivery so I'll be ok for this year but definitely need to sort out something for next... as of now my plan is to put 20" winter tires on the black Turbo center lock wheels but may do something different depending on what is possible.

I've been looking around here and elsewhere but unable to confirm if running 19" wheels will be possible on the new GTS... any thoughts from the experts? Seems like there are more options available in 19" and for winter I could just grab a set of used 997 GTS wheels or something similar. Saves me some loot for a nice set of 20" HREs CLs down the road.

Appreciate any input or other ideas... thanks!
Vise-- Did you get a firm and final answer? I've been going round the thread-mill trying in vain, to get the same answer-- TIA Michael

As of today Tire Rack has nothing in a winter wheel tire set for the current GTS.

The set-up from sun coast looks like turbo OEM wheels. Not sure though.

Yeah-- I think that you have to order from the rack as if you've got a Turbo--then you can get a wheel/tire set-- not 100% certain-- but i think that gets you the appropriate size for GTS-- Suncoast is good OEM but way on the expensive side $2200. over an OZ racing winter tire set from the rack.

Not really, I ended up getting a set of Michelin PA4's mounted on the stock CL wheels. Speaking of which I need to get my winter tires put on soon. Boo!

Melissa Witek at PCNA confirmed the following for me: 991 GTS with CL wheels.
Summer tires, front 9X20 et 51, 245 tires. Rear 11.5x20 et 48 305 tires
Winter tires, front 8.5x20 et 51, 245 tires. Rear 11x20 et 52. 295 tires
Maybe this will help.

I liked the idea of using my OEM wheels for winter tires and getting new HREs in the spring.

HOWEVER - the widest winter available is 295/30/20. According to Tire Rack the widest wheel specified is 11 inch and NOT the 11.5 inch OEM wheels.

So it seems the only option is to buy lesser performing wheels in order to use winter tires.

I cannot check my Owners Manual to see what says because the manual does not include GTS data.

Boy, this really blows.

Ideas Anyone ????

The option of turbo wheels on the GTS won't work. Tire rack has confirmed this. The offsets are too different.

Either buy OEM or just switch out the tire itself. Much cheaper. No significant damage occurs from changing the tires alone. Sidewall damage and scratches on wheels should not be happening at a dealer anyway.

According to Tire Rack the widest rim which can be used with the only available tires is 11 inches not the 11.5 OEM center locks .

Suncoast has a Wheel/Tire set which will work but it costs $7,300.00 plus shipping.

I can get a beater Mini or something for the same money. Crazy.
