Am I the only who isnt worked up over the GTS?

Well, I was hyped for the 911/50. I wanted a wide body/RWD/X-51. It gave me all 3 as a package so I was pumped. The GTS is similar...maybe better if you want the center lock wheels.

Yes, the GT3 stripper is really a great deal. Would that make GTS the second greatest deal, then?
BTW, it is hard to "ignore" the second photo. What a nice derriere! (I mean, the car.)

Me too, I don't drink the GTS cool-aid. Sure, if you *must* have all of those options, then it is a "bargain" discounted package, and I wish you all the happiness that you desire.
I'm still stunned that I paid as much as I did for my car. It was just silly expensive, and has like only 6 options on it...

Nein! That would just mess up marketing & selling prices (thus dealer Profit & Loss) for the rest of the .1 991 allocations dealers have to sell until at minimum next summer (2015)! But I also thought it would be stupid to introduce a .1 991 GTS model this late into the MY2015 year, so take what I say with a grain of salt!

I agree in general that the GTS saves money and gives you some special features (wide-body in RWD). The other advantage is that on resale, I think the value will be better for a higher trim than a bunch of options. If one is not interested in these options, then it's no big deal.
However, it is definitely true that I was hoping for more - I was doubtful they'd put the GT3's PDK or the RWS here, but I'm disappointed to not see the steering software/calibration make it here. That's not a performance thing, so it wouldn't have robbed the GT3 of any allure. Not that the steering is bad, but knowing that there's a better system so easily reachable is hard to stomach.

* You want it brand new (now).
* You don't like the special 50th styling.
* You want more freedom with exterior/interior color options.
* You love Alcantara.
* You want centerlocks.
* You want an aerokit car.
* You want AWD.
* You want a cab.

Both the GTS and the 50th are optioned out bargains, in my book. You get the GTS, instead of a 50th, if:
* You want it brand new (now).
* You don't like the special 50th styling.
* You love Alcantara.
* You want centerlocks.
* You want an aerokit car.
* You want AWD.
* You want a cab.

I have to say I saw a Geyser Grey 50th waiting to be delivered on one of my trips to the dealer earlier in the year and let's just say none of the pictures I saw did that color justice. I thought it looked great in person.
I want a car by next spring and the GTS is the best choice for me, even though my MSRP will be about the same as a base TT.
I'm sure the next iteration will be "better and faster".
