I have the factory ones (5mm) on my 911 c4s. Check my photos out on my post new 2015 pcar.

I love em and they make the wheels line up with the body. Well worth it I think. There are 7mm 12mm 14mm and 15 mm aftermarket options I believe. Anyone else have any on their cars?

More spacer= more dirt and road rash. Pick your poison.

JMO...a waste of money. Even if they weren't, Porsche charges about 5 times what they're worth...but that's typical, isn't it?

If you order Sport Techno wheels, you get 5mm "spacers" for free. FYI.

I chose to forgo the factory option and bought some RSS spacer from Sharkwerks. Spacers are more for appearance than handling. If I were you I would want at least a 10mm in the back. I have 15mm, but that's pretty aggressive.

I have 7mm front and 15 rear. Spacers help 'fill' the wheel well but what really makes a difference and gives a more aggressive stance are after market springs.

cheers

I have the 5mm OE and they are worth every penny, they definetely improve the stance, no issues regarding increased dirt or road rash.

I happen to have the 5mm spacers from the factory because I wanted a (slightly) more aggressive stance, but I can't say that I see a huge difference between a car with 5mm spacers and without spacers. As others have said, a more aggressive spacer setup would be 7/15mm. No performance or handling benefit; it's purely for aesthetics.

I think the weight is negligible but in theory that may be true. It's all about the aesthetics. Without them, the wheels look too tucked in for my taste. I really struggled about getting the factory 5mm ones. I don't think they make much of a difference and are more expensive. The only benefit to the factory ones is that they come with a wheel lock. I also have 7mm front and 15mm rear. Luckily I've had little issue with chipping. I think if you live somewhere like the Northeast or an area with lots of gravel it may be more of an issue. But it does make the car look so much better in my opinion, especially because 911's get so much wider in the back. It accentuates it. If you ever look at a GT3 you see it has a much more aggressive offset as well.
