I've decided to sell my other cars and daily drive the 911
into NYC. It's too good and too expensive to leave sitting in the garage. I struggle with handing it over to a public non self parked garage at work each day, but I'm telling myself scars are the mark of a properly used sports car, and I will wear them with pride. Anniversary edition and all.

I drove my first 911 to 242,000 miles. It was never pampered. Rebuilt the valve guides and synchros at 130K along with new paint then kept going. It was broken into twice and had a little rust beginning at the end...but boy - what a ride! And today that same 911 would be worth about thirty times what I sold it for. Go for it, create memories....

That's awesome for you! I too have decided to drive my C4 this winter way more. Kind of babied it last year. Getting winter wheels and tires. Go for it!

Kudos.
Drive it, when it breaks, get a new one. Life's too short.

My wife's cousin drove her 997 Carrera daily from Ft. Lee to Manhattan.
I saw the car new and I saw it after a year's worth of commute and the damage it sustained in that short time almost brought me to tears.
If you care about your Porsche and take pride in it's appearance you will come to regret your decision.
