Looking at your product selections I have a feeling that you and Phil from DD must be tight!

I do a major detail like this once to twice a year, but I'd never have the patience to document it like this. Great work!

Also, I thought that your use of PNS on the frunk trim plastic was interesting. I wouldn't have thought to use a sealant on that large an expanse of plastic.

I know that PNS is relatively new, but have you been using it long for that type of application? I'm intrigued as the typical plastic dressings have a tendency to attract / collect dust on there.

hey matt, have you considered wearing a gopro with the headstrap to free up the hands? looks a smidge dorky (maybe its just me...) but i think its better than the tripod. its definitely not what the gopro folks had in mind when they were thinking of it...POV DETAILING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't know about tight, but I've certainly supported his cause. For a couple of years straight every new blog post he made was another $300 order.

I've wanted to chronicle my process for a while. It didn't take that much more time.

I saw a Facebook post from DD, so I tried it. It works well. I haven't noticed any dust collection, but we don't have much dust in FL with all of the humidity.

I've been looking at cameras. Using a DSLR with a fixed 50mm lens is very difficult. The quality of DSLR for video is pretty amazing but having no skills make it too challenging. I keep looking at Go Pro, but the quality is so crappy in comparison to a good camera.

Wow what a treat, thank you Matt.

That level of detail is the difference maker on so many steps.

Folks it doesn't get any better than this IMO.

Matt, Another Thank You for all of your help here.

I have learned so much from this thread. Your pics & videos are amazing.

You have actually inspired me! If I can accomplish 50% of what you do, I would be a happy man!

Keep up the great work!

I took a few shots today with the new Auto Finesse Desire carnuba. White is hard to capture the depth. The wax looks good. I certainly don't notice $200 good, but it looks good. We'll see about beading and durability.

As you can tell from the issues using the polarizer today, I'm still no expert photographer. Man I do love 70-200mm f2.8 IS II.

I tell you what... I find it very difficult to photograph cars. They're big, and most of us don't have a studio, so you have to do it outdoors so you're at the mercy of the sun, and finding decent backgrounds can be a challenge.

You done good.

I understand the science behind it, but I just haven't spent the time and don't have an artistic eye. I really need to shoot on a tripod, take multiple exposures, and layer in PS.

And people wonder why a quality exterior paint correction and detail can run over a $1,000.

Nice work, Money! Car looks great. And if I had arms like you, I could rule the world.
