Huracan is pretty, but the 650S has way more performance. 650S just sounds incredible. They could have made the Huracan faster if it was to be a serious contender IMHO

I love the 650S, but there's no way it's ever going to sound better than a higher displacement, higher revving, naturally aspirated V10.

Also, the stats are pretty solid (0-60, quarter mile):

The current Huracan is the base model. We will undoubtedly see Superleggera models and other higher-performing limited editions, as well as RWD models.

And what GreenLantern said. Although I do like what McLaren is doing (off the track, that is).

Actually like I said the McLaren sounds phenomenal, especially for a forced induction car, all the other turbo makers should follow suit. I actually think it sounds as good as anything out at the present.

The Huracan cannot match the 650S heads up despite your "solid numbers". In contrast, I think the V-10 doesn't really sound that phenomenal at all, same for the Audi. Just doesn't do it for me. To each his own. Its also going to be very very difficult to beat the 650S or the 570 for an everyday car. Many people driving them even say they are better than the TTS, including Chris Harris and several others due to its sophisticated suspension. I would LOVE to have one, especially at the discount they go for.

I would love to see a segment of a Comparo between the Huracan and 650S. I still like the Huracan styling over the 650 and do prefer NA or Turbo

It has more power and is much lighter with forced induction broad fat power curves. Of course its faster than the Huracan. There are already several races done between the two on YouTube and the Mac EASILY beats it and even pulls in front of it in a short distance. Amazing car and not respected enough in my opinion. Cool to be different.

Also A 12C might Do the the trick against a new Turbo Porsche S on a Track. But get them on the street there aint no way that McLaren was made for driving in and out of highway and street traffic. Besides it still remains to be seen if the McLaren will hold up to the Tune-Up Blues that Ferrari's go though. Remember McLaren took a sizable chunk of Ferrari employees when they decided to go selling cars.

But saying the 12C will blow the doors off a TTS 0 to 60, is A mighty bold statement of words. Though I ill admit we will leave the track days to the GT3 and GT3RS. Hell McLaren's F1 got the drop on the Bugatti Veyron when BBC TopGear tested them in Dubai- and that was past 60. The F1 McLaren is a car that should be held in high esteem and sell for between $6MM and $8MM and more. Those versions aren't falling like rocks.

In 18 months you will be seeing adds for Mclaren 575s for $69K OBO.

And performance has nothing to do with Valuationu
He never said 0-60. I know this is the Porsche forum but facts are facts, in anything other than the 0-60 even the TTS will get owned by the bigger Macs. Watch the Chris Harris video of both running. Macs are fast as hell, and you can be a hater but facts are facts. In a roll race, the 650 beats the Aventador also in many contests. Thats seriously fast.

A McLaren MP4-12C for $50k? I highly doubt that'll ever happen unless there's some weird economic factor involved.

Agreed.

That price is probably too high.

Ford has one coming out for under 60k new
