I can confirm that longshore men are NOT working Fri, Sat, Sun, Mon and we're waiting to see if they stay out any longer right now.

Plus backlog is 3 weeks delay so far.
Other west coast ports are no longer an alternative as they can't keep up taking up the slack.

Best bet to get a container into the USA is via the east coast or Houston and go by rail or truck.

At least you didn't ask me to watch Fox News

There are articles like this one
http://www.sfgate.com/bayarea/articl...ys-6076197.php

But all of the articles seem to be about unloading shipping containers. Given dealers haven't been complaining, and my dealer said he hasn't noticed a change, I wonder if car transports are treated different.

Here's a more up-to-date tracking website than I originally posted: http://www.marinetraffic.com/en/ais/...date:lastknown

Looks like Equuleus Leader is preparing to head into the Panama Canal!

Nice! A little head of schedule.

Does anyone know the average time it takes from arrival in destination port to departure on the truck from the port?

I read on this forum that it's 8 days from exit of Panama Canal to SD.

Addendum: vessel finder has arrival at SD port at 0600 Feb 25 (Pacific standard time)

Port of San Diego web site also shows Equuleus Leader is scheduled to arrive 0500 2/25. The only other ship scheduled to arrive that day is a banana ship, so hopefully they can unload our cars on that day.

Don't want to put a "downer" on the situation but remember that's arrival date. The vessel will then require an available berth, pilot on board and tugs plus the longshore men at work to tie the vessel up. They all need to be available for the ship to move from the arrival anchorages. The problem as I see it is there's a large log jam of vessels waiting to get in so there could be delays even if the vessel arrives on time.
