Word on the street is the GT4 will be stick only.
Probably the only way they can keep it off the Carrera S coat tails..

It will be able to easily beat a Carrera S on the Ring time. That is a guarantee!

Will be interesting to see a GT4 manual vs. Carrera S PDK on the track... the GT4 being lighter weight should get the nod given equal drivers.

Of course a GT4 if given a PDK would be no contest.

With the famous Trackcar in the Cayman GT4 it would be no contest!

Given MPSC2 tires and downforce it'd be tough to keep down. They'd need to gut the power.

Would be nice if a PDK would be optional since not everybody wants a manual.

But even then I think they will sell all they decide to bring over.
Question would be how many out of those would be dealer configured with or without market adjustments in certain areas?

So.. Looks like some hardcore/gt4 boxster actually IS in the works. This makes no sense to me.. Anyone care to chime in?

I think they are working on a Boxster spyder sucessor using the parts from the GT4.

This car is not developed by AP's group in Weissach - more a spiritual successor to the Boxster Spyder - some think it will be called Club Sport.

Real racing 3 came out with an update. Here's a tease they have in the update. EA does have a relationship with porsche. So will the GT4 be announced via video game? Sure does look like a cayman.

That def could be it; video game features/reveals are becoming more commonplace today.

I'm a big sim racing fan, which makes me surprised I've not heard of this title before.

I have this game on my ipad and it's a great simulator. Teaches about the fundamentals.

Did the update today and was wondering if it is the GT4. It is a Cayman for sure!

Rumors to be confirmed coming by another Forum:

"3.8 385hp parts bin motor basically from the Carrera S. I asked power kit 3.8 he said yes. I said why only 385 ad not 430 and he smiled and said diff intake on Cayman. I told him motor shouldn't be 45 hp off for the Cayman intake. to which he replied it isn't, 385 is the marketing number. Manual only. Bespoke suspension. 2850 weight goal. All motorsport derived suspension and brakes. He told me analogue and very very fun. I asked 2-3 high ups and they all confirmed these specs. It is not a bespoke engine but a car which will focus on handling and fun!!"

if this is true then the car will sell out! A cayman less than 3000lbs and 380bhp will fly!
